Default rough idle

my 94 dx motor is running rough on idle, and i dont know what it is. i changed the oil, intake filter, spark plugs, etc. would it be caused by a bad pcv valve or something? its been getting more and more rougher ever since i had it a year ago. has about 175k and been abused pretty badly by the previous owner and myself.. im looking forward to get a swap, but not enough money as of right now so i need it running a bit better. thanks

maybe your spark plug gaps are off or your engine is getting tired if it was drivin rough you could always do a compression test, or is it eating oil? If your rings are getting bad your plugs can get oil fouled quick i did that to my teg Geez you live in seattle?? ill fix it we washitonians gotta represent lol

timing, bad pcv, bad o2 sensor, bad spark plug gaps, bad plug wires, bad dizzy/internal parts, clogged fuel filter, clogged injectors, valve lashes out of spec, idle speed, IACV, FITV, vacuum leaks, air in coolant, loose connections, bad grounds, TPS, MAP sensor... all of these and more could be responsible for a bad idle... if you'll be swapping soon it's not worth it.... otherwise you could start troubleshooting parts one by one

i changed the fuel filter, timing belt a few months ago. its rough as in like shakeing, but once i hit the gas to about 2000+ rpm, it gets normal. would it be that the engines getting old? its been beat up pretty bad my my friend that owned it before me, but i got a great deal on the car and was planning to do a swap.
