Tranny pops out of 5th gear
I recently changed the clutch/flywheel in my 00 GSR motor/tranny to an Exedy clutch/flywheel combo. Since then, the tranny has been popping out of 5th gear on the freeway, usually around 70 - 75 mph when I let off the throttle. Any idea what could be causing this? I never had this problem before I changed the clutch, so could it be something that was done wrong during the install?
TIA

We just filled the tranny this weekend, and it was toppped off with 2+ quarts of honda MTF, so I don't think fluid is the problem. I will check tomorrow when I am back in town, but I doubt that's the problem.
Anything else I could check on?

make sure u put 2.2 - 2.3 quarts even the littlest amount will affect it 99% of the time wen 5th pops ur low on tranny fluid...if u run low for an extended period of time, then 5th gear can totally be ruined.

Well, I got it up on jackstands last night, and when I opened the fill plug the fluid came pouring out (not just dripping out). So, I let it flow out until it was dripping out slower, closed it up and drove.
Same results - it popped out twice on the way to work. I also noticed that it usually pops out at lower speeds (like 60 - 70) when I am decelerating/off the throttle from going faster (75+).
What else could I check for in terms of the shift linkage?
Also, if the tranny is messed up, what part could be potentially messed up and about how much am I looking at in repairs?
And, are there any other things I can check for before I pull the tranny and take it in?

So it continues popping out of gear on the freeway, even after I drained the fluid to the correct level. Someone mentioned something to me about a clutch adjustment - could this be something that is causing the problem? I am trying to eliminate as many variables as possible before I have to tear off the tranny.
