Default most of my lights dont work

the head lights dont turn on [new bulbs, previous owner had projector lights, they are oem now]
tail lights dont work [w/switch on or while the pedal is being pressed]
cluster doesnt light up.

only lights that work is hazards
left and right blinkers [left one sometimes does not want to work]
reverse lights work.
dome light

fuses look good. i dont have the correct fuse maps for the dash nor under the hood.

check all fuses and the wire running to these areas. it can also be relays for the switches. best bet buy or borrow a voltage meter and look for any current thats supposed to flow when the switches are activated!

i had the same problem with my civic. i burnt a lot of fuses trying to replace it and see if it would work. the solution is to find the fuse for the lighting unit and replace it with a fuse that is one size bigger. i put in a SIZE 15 fuse for the lighting unit which should be a size 10. it should work

Do you have an aftermarket deck?

ummm, i wouldnt suggest that. there are certain fuse sizes for a reason. if there's a short, the fuse needs to blow. adding a larger size sometimes won't allow the fuse to blow causing the wires to heat up and melt or cause bigger problems, like internal shortages.

trust me i know, i'm speaking(well typing) through experience!

yes, its an old school deck from my old civic. it plays fine [but it doesnt remember the last track played so when i turn the car off and on again it starts out on the first track]
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by omega02379 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Do you have an aftermarket deck?</TD></TR></TABLE>

btw it does have a swap in it. runs fine.

it also has a gsr cluster in it. but the tach does not work. it worked once and just died
the previous owner had projectors in it, they/he/she hacked off the oem plug that goes into the head light and used the after market plug in its place.

the climate control lights [buttons/ green and orange] works
