Need some help with a Block Guard. The size on a B18C1 change with the B16A or they are the same?
Hey guys I live in Costa Rica, and I make a engine using a B18C1 block with a B16A obd1 head. Now I want to use NOS, but my compression is 230psi (sorry if I write it wrong), so I need to put a Block Guard inside to try to do not blow my cylinders. So can any body tell me if the size of the B16A block and the B18C1 is the same between cylinder and the block walls??? Remember I need to be really sure because I am ordering the part from Costa Rica and it will be really difficult to return the part if it does not fit. Thanx.-----
Get the block guard for the B18C since thats the block your using and it goes in there. Also you know you need a machine shop to install and weld it correctly right? Unless you have a big enough press.

Yup, just use the B18C guard.
I have heard a few ways that you can install block guards. Every time I have done it, I have done it without welding or using a press. I just tap it in about 0.5cm from the top of the deck and never had a problem.
