cleaning my headlight???
i want to clean my headlight but kinda scared to open it up..my driver side for some reason is getting moist from somewhere so i guess i need to reseal 'em..do u guys have any tips on doin this ?? there was a thread before on how u put 'em in the oven to open it up but cant find it for some reason..oh and what kind of sealer should i use to seal it back..thanx...
Go to Autozone or whatever parts store and purchase yourself a silicicone sealant for glass, plastic and etc... Take the headlight assembly and place it inside the oven that is preheat to about 325 degrees. While it is baking check and see often if the condensation has dissapear or not. Once it does just take it out and wait for it to cool down. After it cool down, just apply silicon on the seal. Just make sure you cover it good and your all set.
^ thats a good way but you really wont get all the moisture out. Just preheat the oven around 350 to 375. Turn the oven OFF! then stick one headlight at a time for about 8 to 10 mins. take the lens off and wipe down the moisture. while you are at it, i would polish the inside. then you can use a heat gun to heat the original seal and stick the lens back. get some silicon sealant and seal the bad boy up.
you are gunna have to take the lens off imo.

just take your time and use a srewdriver then scissors to cut the sealant. once it melts it will look like gum so just cut it off while you are in the process of pulling the lens apart from the actuall assembly

you can get moisture out I bought a set of new housings cause mine were FUBAR and first time i washed it the right side was all condensated. take the housing out and the bulbs and get 2 blow dryers and 2 pieces of paper roll the paper into a cone and put the small end in the bulb hole and turn the dryer on them for 5-10 min then get some silicone and put a small bead all around the housings. Never saw moisture again
