Default Questions about HID lighting for integra

Hey, I have a question to ask about HID for integras, I've done a search and i cannot find what i am looking for. I have a 96 integra 4dr

I am trying to upgrade to HID lighting, because they're so cool. However, I am unsure about a few things.

I have a HID ballast and stuff from a BMW (without bulb). After researching for a while, I've learned that Integra's stock projectors sux.
So i am wondering, Should i buy aftermarket Integra projectors assembly with those Angel eyes from Ebay?

Or should i try retrofiting my stock headlamp? If so, does the size of the projector matter? there are many sizes, like 3", 2 1/4", and 2.5". Will they fit if i retrofit?

Sumerize:
1. ebay aftermarket projectors off ebay or,
2. retrofit, if so what projector sizes and off what car

Also, which bulb brand is good?
Please and Thank you.

I'm not really sure about the last couple of questions you asked.

But what I have heard, a stock headlight w/ a retrofit isn't going to look nearly as good as a headlight w/ a projector. It may look a little bit ricey, but atleast you'll have a nice set of lights.

Don't buy the aftermarket Ebay Integra projectors. They do not use HID projectors.

Your best bet would be to retrofit your stock headlights. The size of the projector doesn't really matter, however some fit better than others in the headlight. I think a 3" fits pretty well.

For bulbs, I would stick with philips or osram D2S. Go 4100k if you want that pure white look or 4300 if you want the burned-in blue-white look.

Would a 2.5" work? how about a 2 1/4"?

I'm pretty sure a 2.5" would work, but the problem isnt the size of the projector. The problem is getting the small projector to secure to the frame.

hobo_ken is right. Those ebay headlights are not equiped with hid projectors so basically you will just be buying an aftermarket headlights for the halos.

retrofit is the way to go. E55s are far the easiest projectors to retrofit into integras, the size, length, and width are perfect. you can ask patrickgsr94, he has this setup and its one of the best i have seen sone on an integra.

go to hidplanet.com. they have a big classifieds there. I started off with some valeos and then switched to s2ks. im not sure what the difficulty of the tsx are but they are nice. i had a tsx loaner for a few days and the hid were imo nicer than the s2ks. but i still love my s2ks.

if you can drop $200 for the tsx, i would get them. i dropped $300 on the s2ks about a year and half ago.
