My hatch light has been turning on when it wants for a while now. its getting annoying at night when i need it most. Has anyone had this problem? Possible causes and fixes? I know power is getting to it since my alarm goes off when I open the hatch, unless that has totally nothing to do with the problem. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I had a similar problem. At first I thought it was the switch, because the light seemed to work depending on the switch lever position. Took the lens cover off; test the current. Okay. Changed the bulb; light works fine now.

 

I just recently had to take the hatch light bulb and use it in my domelight. I put a new in there two days ago. It worked fine at first, then after testing it out, it continued to have the same problem.
