Well, i would not want to do this, a friend of mine blew his civic clutch do to alot of horse power coming from the turbo, we know a kid that is selling a parts from an RX-7. if we bought it for $10-$20 then we would have a Stronger, More integrity flywheel for VERY CHEAP..... the RX-7 flywheels are by stronger then the civic flywheels. that is all. Plus it would be cheaper to buy then a civic aftermarket flywheel.
If you want that Rx7 flywheel...just drop the 13b motor.
haha
Seriously...you dont need a Rx7 flywheel to make alot of horsepower. Just go get it lightened or buy an aftermarket one. Dont go cheap if you want to make a lot of power. Its just goin to F**k u in the end.

Have you im'ed the guy that has it done, I'm sure he would be a lot better qualified to tell you than most of us as I had never heard of it being done bfore.
how light is the RX-7 Flywheel anyway?? I can't imagine that it would be so light, and strong that it would be worth it.
also...I doubt it would be nearly the same design as honda due to the fact the rx-7 is a rotary. would the clutch even bolt up at all?? I doubt it. if someone can dig some info up on it...I'd like to see it....as for now....
my first impression is that this would be a complete waste of time, effort, and money.

Still doesn't seem worth the effort though...I mean all that just to run a carbone clutch??
I have seen several clutches on MADE FOR the d16y8 that DO NOT SLIP...so whats the big deal?? it can't be a cheaper alternative.

That guy is crazy, i talked to him for a while one time, that's a d's series engine with supra pistions and it a rx-7 flywheel and rx-7 twin plated clutch, its crazy he boost 1.5bar right now that like 20psi??? and hes goes upto 2 bar at the track!!!
That guy is also in Thailand, where they might not have as much access to the same parts that we're used to seeing - like good SOHC clutches.
Ask that guy to post up the "real" hybrids from Thailand - they do some crazy-*** **** over there. SR20DET motors in Civics, MR2 motrs in Civics, etc.
Weird ****, but interesting to look at.
