i posted this in the fi forum but no one seems to respond. i am wondering what size of micron fuel filter to run for a high hp fi civic? ill be running a weldon external fuel pump, sumped tank, all that stuff. -10 feed line

 

-10 micron should be fine... I run them after the pump on all of our customers. This way if pump failed, the filter will catch all debris (if any) before it goes to the engine.

 

You really should run a 100 micron filter before the pump to pickup crap from the tank before it gets to the pump.

pump is cheaper than motor aha

bets way to do it is to have 2 filters, one before and one after. With the Bosch setup that I have I have a filter inside the tank before the pump. Good ol 40 micron

 

just connect like 64 filters together so you have one big beefy solid filtered fuel line.

one more question, are you guys connecting the filter right to the exit side of the pump, or do you run some ss line between the two?

Just connect it right at the exit, therefore you won't have to buy additional lines and hose ends..
