Default ek rear sway bar pics needed

bought what is supposedly a 99-00 SI rear sway bar off of ebay and when I went to put it on it didn't fit quite right not sure if it's on right or not, worked for about an hour till my exhaust came in and had to take it back off as it hits the new exhaust, (barely missed the small stock exhaust). Looking for pics of anybody who has done this or any aftermarket systems installed on the car. I've seen alot of the rear tie bars with the sway bar on it I might go with this unless a pic clears things up with this sway bar. Oh and I've got a 96 CX hatch.

I used Suspension Techniques pivot brackets with a 22mm ITR bar and ITR endlinks. It fits, but I had to drill all the mounting holes.

To be honest the endlinks didn't seem to fit quite right, but they work. The bolts for the pivot brackets ripped through... If I could do it all over again I'd buy a tiebar/rear stabilizer bar combo from Neuspeed or S/T.

Yeah it's like that with the end links. Except I don't have those brackets maybe that will help me.

I had a 99-00 si swaybar on my hatch. It hit the stock exhaust and my aftermarket one. I wrapped some cloth around the part of the bar the hit the exhaust and then wrapped that in foil.

huge difference between the SI 13mm and the ITR/CTR 22mm. I've used both as the 13mm is stock on Acura 1.6EL then I upgraded to 22mm CTR with Beaks kit...wow, it is so much more fun to drive, rotates so much better in corners, night and day difference when your cornering aggressive, if just going around town, you'd never know its there. But on hard/fast corners, its amazing.

I'm running it with my stock suspension for winter and I still love it, can't wait to try it with my summer tires/coilovers in the spring.

Only thing i'd do difference, is buy the ASR subframe reinforcement over the Beaks

Oh, and everyone is like I wouldn't go 22 or 23mm rear sway, your car will oversteer....ummm not quite, its a civic not a mustang. The rear does rotate, so go easy until you get used to how it behaves and the limits before the rear steps out and your fine. Its an amazing upgrade if you corner aggressive and for me, I think it will be beneficial in auto-x too.

if you put a bigger one up front with the 22 in the back this shoul help. You want to stiffen up the front to help with the oversteer.

oh, ya...if you car has no sway bars, i'd install a front as well for sure to even it out and add to the handling. my ride came with 23mm front, so a 22mm rear makes it pretty equak

There are a lot of factors that will determine how or if your Civic will oversteer. Spring rates? Tire sizes? What model Civic do you have? Coz depending on model this will determine what size or if you even HAVE a front swaybar. I happen to have an SiR so I have a 26 mm front swaybar so adding a Comptech 22 mm rear helped rid the car of some understeer. But it still understeers at the limit anyway. As always, YMMV. But I do agree, going from the puny 13 mm stock sway to a 22 mm made a world of difference. Getting a larger rear swaybar for a Civic is a great bang for the buck upgrade.
