Who gives a crap? I'd rather spend the $2000 I'd save by going with Rota's and get some good track time, or a hardtop, or new tires, or many other things. YOU can put SW's on, if you get an S2k. Have fun forking out $500 everytime you bend a rim.

Rota and track wheels shouldnt be in the same sentence. You get what you pay for.

You think a couple incidents posted on the internet projects what all Rota owners have or will experience with their wheels? I've read about 4-5 cases of Volks cracking from track abuse. Did those people get what they paid for? Should people not buy Volks because of that?
I've owned a set of Rotas and have run over plenty of pot holes to know they're pretty strong. Many ITR owners track Rotas with no problems at all. Feel free to search, I guarantee you will not find one thread about them cracking. If I still had my ITR, I'd definately be rocking a set of 15x7 SS's.
BTW, most of the time, a car won't flip because of a cracked rim. If you've experienced or read otherwise, please share.

3. I actually pay attention to the road and don't hit potholes. I have never had to replace a wheel ever, let alone for bending it.

1. Stock wheels are better than 16x7 and 16x8 wheels. Hm. Can you explain why?
2. See my post above.
3. I'm glad you live in a pot hole free city, but where I live sucks. But this thread isn't about attentive driving--it was about the integrity of these supposed "cheap-o non-s2k worthy" wheels. Regardless, it's withstood the test of multiple pot holes, so I'm not sure where you're going with that.
Anyway, have you ever bought any Rota rims and regularly beat on them for an extended period of time? Is the price tag the only reason you despise these wheels? I bet if they're selling for $4000, you'd be drooling over them, right? Heaven forbid a manufactorer makes cheap, light set of wheels that we can abuse without the worries of a $500 repair tag.
I still want to know why certain products are considered almost commiting treason when it's put on an S2k. The S2k is a $30,000 car. It's NOT an exotic by any means. You can even pick one up for $14,000. That's less than a brand new Civic. Yeah, it's a special car, but it's no Enzo.
