You can jump the car from the outside without popping the hood. I have a pic of that car being towed on a flatbed trailer, so I'm assuming the car can be jumped while on the trailer from the rear.

There is no function.
Some racing classes require you to have a kill switch outside the car so someone can cut the power in the event of an accident, but I don't see a point to that. It looks like more show-car rice bullshit to me.
