i've searched already and the only places i've found that sells SP3's are http://www.autocarparts.com and http://www.neuspeed.com and they're like 299 a pair for the prelude. is this a good price or do any of you guys know where they can be had for less money?

I call MJM Autohaus here in San Antonio. They'll sell at wholesale pricing and are always pretty nice. Just tell them the lowest price you've found and they'll beat it. Well, they usually do it for me.

Shox.com matched a good price on eBay for me, back in october of 04 (prices have come down since then though). The eBay auction was for a brand new "in the box" set from an authorized dealer though ($515 shipped)...
