aem byppass suck in hot air from engine bay?
i just recently installed the new bypass (no flaps) on the cai. i noticed after a moderate drive, the pipe portion before the bypass feels cold and the portion after feels fairly warm...similar to the temp. when you touch the old stock air box. does this mean it is sucking hotair through the valve? should i just tape it up as a solution for now?
What do you mean no flaps? The bypass only activates when the filter in the bumper becomes submerged in water because of pressure differences. The reason why the upper half of the intake tube is warm and the lower cold is because the tube was cut in half for the valve, and thus can't conduct heat all the way through its length.
