b20a6 with b18 head?
hi
i have a b20a6 engine and cylinder 2 exhaust valve is fukd beyond repair... and i was speaking to a mate.. and he said it might be possible to buy a b18 head and bolt it onto my b20. is this possible? and is it a direct bolt on?
my other option is to buy another b20 and drop that 1 in.
please help me out!
cheers

Im not 100% but im pretty sure that the b20a6 was a prelude motor which differs from the B20B and B20Z that are used for the b20/vtec setup. So i dont think that you will be able to do that.
According to a couple of search results, the B20A6 is from the 88-91 Prelude, and a regular B series head will not bolt up. Apparently it's kind of an oddball B series.

integra drk is right , it wont work , plus those motors wont hold up to well
the prelude b20's- honda tryed using a different metal for the sleeves and it didnt work well at all tears up rings . a few people resleeve them and there fine but the cost of doing that vs just gettin a b20b or z or b18a/b it really isnt worth it

it wont work, the 88-91 prelude b-series are closer to h/f series than B-series.<< pertaining to mounting and such, im not sure the parts are interchangeable/.
