What exactly do you mean when you say, "my foot on the floor?" When are you flooring the pedal? When you start it? After you start it?

Describe exactly what happens when you cold start your car:
1. Engine starts?
2. RPM's ride to about 4K for a few minutes?
3. RPM's drop to 1500 afterwards?
4. After you start the car, you have the pedal floored with no effect?

Sound about right? The pedal being floored is very strange to me.

1. start car
2. drive till rpm reaches 4k
3. rpm drops slowly till it reaches about 1500
even if the pedal is to the floor
4. all resumes as normal
