ive seen pictures of the layout recently around here..Give a search and you can find one. But just a shot, if you don't have ABS put them there, if you battery is relocated put them there, or look for some room on the firewall.

Looks like your M's Super Cleaner is going to eat your overflow.

I would really love to hear a review of this product. Any chance of that?

As for mounting, I'd get a Hawker(or similar small battery) and mount it above it on the firewall.

It seems almost like a moot point installing it. Considering the obvious fact that the engine would have to suck HOT air AROUND a container holding HOT liquid.

Last time I checked, the overflow reservoir doesn't get that hot......

M's is actually made by Gruppe M. As far as i know, the intake is still sold in Japan, cost is somewhere around 650-680 bux

.....this thread is about the ultra mdi, so let's try to stay on topic.

I will say though, that I dyno'd several intakes in a test and the M's was the top performer.

mostly, the overflow reserve tank doesnt have "hot" liquid...room temp yes.

i'd be more concerned about sucking hot air around the rad .

I just saw a guy dyno with the MDI that he just brought from Jpn yesterday and the results was very dissapointing.

His engine spec was
B16B
Toda-C + valvetrain
Toda Piston
Spoon ECU

He just went for 3 dyno runs to test out the system and no tuning.
To his suprise it only gained 0.8hp peak BUT at the same time he also LOST an average 10-15hp from 3000rpm until vtec x-over.
After vtec x-over it was +/- 1-2hp.

Maybe the results will be diff should he had any kind of standalone ecu?

After he pluged in the Ultra MDI sys it did make his a/f go quite lean.

So he lost 10-15 hp in the midrange with ONLY the installation of the MDI?

His setup is far from optimal to begin with.

I didn't do a dyno test yet. But i tried 0-100 km/hr. 3 times without MDI and 3 times with MDI. The average time without MDI is 6.85s and the average time with MDI is 6.18s. I am not sure it is worth or not. But i am quite happy with MDI. My car is totaly stock(except the mugen twin loop). I will put the JDM 4-1 and do a dyno test next month. So, i will post to here again next month.

I saw that . I was wondering where "HE" installed it. Since this thread was all about that.
