Default plx m-300 says lean when off the gas

i was wondering if this is honda thing before i ask plx about it.
everytime i take my foot off the gas the gauge says "lean air." it starts reading again after a few seconds but i never get any real numbers of how lean it is. anyone else using the plx300 or other wbo2 getting this kind of reading?

it's normal.
when you're slowing down in gear with your foot off the gas, honda ECUs turn off the injectors, which causes LEAN or AIR to be displayed.

.....I think he's asking whether it's normal for the PLX unit to show "lean air" rather than the actual a/f ratio (16:1 or 18:1).

To the original poster, you might be better off concacting PLX... it's quite likely that you are going leaner than 20:1, and that's why it's showing "lean air" - it's possibly beyond the measurable range of the sensor...

its normal for it to actually read "lean" rather than an A/F Ratio

let me clarify. I said this because I have a PLX M300 and that's exactly what it is supposed to do.

lean - there is a trace of fuel but but it's less than the scale of the meter
air - the fuel content is less than the sensor can measure
