Be sure you bend the tabs out on the lip of the nut before you start trying to turn it.

Make sure you are using a good 1/2 inch drive ratchet, and have someone hold the brake. Then use a floor jack handle or a piece of pipe on the end of the ratchet to give you more leverage. It'll come off.

if you broke the craftsman then take it back...it should still be under warranty

You can always take a Craftsman tool back. Even if you find one on the street somewhere broke, you can take it back and get a new one.

Somone came into my work today and wanted us to get the nut off of his axel on his honda accord. He said he needed to get it off because he was changing the rotors. Thats a lot of work to change the rotor compared to the integra.

Any way, i tried an impact gun on it, and it didnt even budge. I was shocked. Then we tried a breaker bar on the 1/2 in 36 mm, and it did nothing. Crazy..even used penetrating lube. Couldnt get the sucker off. I hope he was able to get it off some other way.

Has anyone else not been able to get that nut off even with a impact gun???

the extra steel pipe on the rachet(sp) never fails... just remember to pull up and not push down.
