Ok about 3 weeks ago my rear passenger door wouldnt open. I took apart the pannel and figuered it was a little clip that held on to the rod that opens the door fronm the inside.

A week later i go to the honda dealer and i order the part. Next day i pick up the part and 4 days later (today) i try 2 fix my problem

The old clip had broken in half. leaving the oter half on the metal part it had to go on. i had the hardest time trying 2 take it off because i couldnt take off my door completely. I striped one of the screws that i needed 2 take off.

Ok so im working on this door for like 2.5 hrs. i was finally able 2 take clip that was stuck. I put on the new clip ( i put it in wrong which led 2 the metal rod sliding all over the place) i turn the metal rod a little and i hear a "snap" my heart droped. I check the clip and i see that its broken. I was ******* pissed that i put the clip on the rod wrong i realized after i saw another clip.

So now im thinking should i just order another clip from the dealer or should i just go 2 a mechanic and have them do the work.

I dont even know it the clip is the only problem. What do u guys think i should do?

I wraped one with a small wire one time and it held it. You have to do a good tight wrap job or it will just slip right back out of the hole. You can do it too. Even if it doesn't work, you haven't lost anything.

 

well as u know i broke the clip. i just noticed that the door opens some how. I picked some 1 up and they hoped in the back and then they actually opened teh door from the inside. i was liek wtf did u do. So i guess that the metal rod got hooked right somehow ebcause teh door opens perfectly now. crazy **** huh?
