So I bought my Integra already with a 5Zigen catback and a test pipe.

Right around 3k rpms at WOT it rasps for a bit then goes away by 4k.

Is this because of the lack of a cat? If I put one on will the rasps go away?
It also still has stock exhaust manifold.

You could also try adding a resonator onto your exhaust to get rid of the raspiness.

and yes the cat will quiet it down, but might eat alil of your power..unless its a high-flow.

 

Well the piping already has a resonator on it, not sure if another would fit anywhere else.

I think I'm just going to put in a cat, the rasp is driving me crazy.
