Default euro r cluster

has anyone tried to install a euro r cluster in their 6th gen accord ex coupe 4cyl. when i installed it into my car, the backlight only turned off when i turned on my headlights and stayed on without the keys in the ignition. also, the tach did not function. is it because i need a different harness or connectors or what? any info would be useful. the euro r cluster is an oem honda euro r from a 2001 jdm accord euro r

maybe its because the signal from the USDM ECU isnt the same type that the tach is capable of reading.

and news flash, why would you put that cluster into your car....the tach will be waaaaay off

You have a SOHC...EURO R is DOHC.

Yes...ECU has to be swapped.
