Default 2006 Honda Civic Prices

I'm looking at buying a new civic tommororw and i'm wondering what people paid for them. I've bought a civic in the past and paid around invoice for it...but with the new body type, I wonder if they wont discount as much. So, if you dont mind, post how much you paid.

Thanks in advance

My neighbor bought one a couple days ago. She asked the salesman if the price was negotiable and he told her that it wasn't because they are selling at full MSRP all day long.

I paid $16,500 with destination for my LX Coupe with the manual. I saved about $350, which I applied to tax, title, etc.

Out the door price, all said and done, was $17,900

USE THE INTERNET SALES DEPARTMENT IF AVAILABLE, NOT THE SHOWROOM FLOOR SHARKS!

Yep.. well she also traded in her car to them instead of selling it outright . Some people just aren't car savvy.

(Needless to say, there are a dozen new civics sitting on the lot now.)

i do this for every new car my family buys. i call the local dealerships and tell them exactly what i want, color, model, options, etc... You ask to speak to the sales manager directly. Tell him this is what you want, you want to buy today, what is your price? let him know you are calling other dealerships and whoever is the cheapest will get the business. Now, you call first dealership and get a price. Call the next one, tell him this dealership offered this price. Then continue doing this until no one is willing to beat the price. You're good to go.

Ex. I just bought an 06 Accord Lx Sedan (3 weeks ago) for my cousin for below msrp with taxes and all included. MSRP is 20025, she paid 19.6k out the door.

This does work very well, it has on the past 4 cars my family has bought (all honda's, haha)
