jdm vs. usdm

Are you thinking about buying a cheap OEM CTR wing and grinding it down to fit your USDM hatch glass?
Unless you get the JDM wing really quite cheaply, my sincere advice would be to just buy the USDM HFP wing to start with.
The only thing in any way "hard" is drilling the extra hole in your hatch for the brake light cable pass through...and you have to do that with both CTR and HFP.
If you buy a CTR wing, though, you also add the annoying task of grinding down the sides until it fits. (Grind & trial fit, grind & trial fit, grind & trial fit...it takes a while.)
At least one person I know (who's not a complete blithering idiot) shattered his friend's hatch glass the first time he drove over a very small bump with a CTR wing that looked like it was fit correctly.
The HFP wing looks every bit as good as the CTR wing, and it fits without all the extra grinding and potential dangers.
