Default new lid, suomy spec 1r extreme, great helmet

oOOo, anyone getting a soumy, get the next larger size than you normally get. i wear an XL in icon, but if fits on the looser side, so i figured i could get by w/ an XL suomy. well, this is the smallest XL outer shell i've ever seen ... it fits, but BARELY. the cheeks are pretty snug, i'm sure i'm making a funny face inside the helmt, but the top inner crown part fits exactly. ANY smaller and it would be too small. i'd recommend trying it on before you buy one, but i didnt have that choice b/c they dont sell them anywhere near me, so i measured and bought it online. i thought it was goign to be too small, but after not getting a headache after 5 mins in it i realized it was great. it's still really snugg getting in and out of it, that should break-in some though. the paint is the best i've ever seen on a helmet, ever, period. the visor is amazing. it's iridium and has a yellow tint when looking straight thru but changes color based on angle/light. i have yet to fog the visor, and trust me, i've tried. 'll blow hot air on it and my glasses will fog up and i wont be able to see but the visor will be nice and clear. the iridium is great for riding at night too, everythingis very clear. replacement visor's are expensive but like i said, it's amazing. the visor is either open or closed, there isnt the clicks for being partially open, and when you shut it it locks in place and WILL NOT come up on you. the venting is amazing, if you look inside of the helmet it looks like a bicycle helmet, w/ channels on the sides for the air to flow directly into the shell. i've never seen a motobike helmet like that, where the holes were drilled directly into the helmet. oh and the vents are always open, very high flow helmet, i love it.

Nice helmet. Mine was very snug for the first two months or so, but give it some time and it will mold to your dome nicely.
