timing belt change, 93 accord
Changing timing belt, on a 93 accord, with 2.2L, engine code #f22A1. Trying to make sure i have #1 cylinder at TDC, looks to be a red mark on flywheel, not well defined, and cam pulley is "up". How do you get crankshaft pulley off? I don't have an impact wrench. (no air compressor)
If you can find something like a long pencil or something to stick down the #1 plug hole if it hits the piston just under the head (sparkplug hole), you've got it. But don't drop it in there please!!!

The white mark indicates TDC. The red is for setting ignition timing.

I at first had the flywheel on the white mark, and when I took off top cover of timing belt cover, the cam pulley was not in the up position. when i turned it to (up), then the flywheel mark went to red.
if u are at the white mark on the flywheel ( top dead center ) and if u are on # 1 cylinder , up mark facing up ,look at the back of the cam pulley ( valve side ) there are 2 notches they should align with the head, if not , cam timing is off ...now u can still have the white mark line up at the flywheel but u could be at cylinder # 4 then the up mark on the cam pulley would be facing down ..
