Uh Oh......
well this sucks...not exactly drag race related but all of us racers have had to rig something up from time to time...im kind of in a bind here.
im in charlotte North Carolina right now......about 7 hours from home. its saturday around 4:00 or so and ive been on the phone for the last 3 hours. i just got a nail in the sidewall of my tire in my audi.....no good....i can't find a tire ANYWHERE. 235/35/19. nothing is going to be open tomarrow, and i absolutely positively HAVE to be back to maryland tomarrow.
soo...even though extremely ghetto.....do you think there is any possibility that maybe putting some sort of expoxy or something on this nail might possibly keep in in place long enough to get home? this car is so damn low that if it goes flat im going to be ultra screwed. luckily the sideskirts come off easy.
so my question.....does anybody have any suggestions on how to rig this to work....or even better does anybody know anyplace anywhere near here that might have a tire in that size? i just put these damn tires on the car like 2 weeks ago too.
BTW this car is for sale haha

nah no spare.....if i put anything with a smaller rolling diameter on the car it wouldnt even be able to roll. im on my way to some sort of a get to gether thing (not driving obviously) at some porsche shop that does a ton of wheel/tire packages. its my last hope with out having to ghetto rig it
I've done this before when stuck, and gotten away with it in the sidewall until I could get a new tire. There is a type of tire plug that is like twine with the stickiest goo in the world on it. I just bought some more at the local TSC tractor supply store (I live in the middle of a cornfield!
) last night. Just double it up and stick it in with the applicator and some rubber cement for lubricant. Leave 3/8 of an inch or so sticking out. It just might hold.
