Default Car Shopping!

I'm starting to car shop, not sure if I'm going to get a car here soon and just wait a few more months. I've looked at some RSX's, tC's, and the new 06 Civics. I must say that so far the Civic is in the lead. I'm honestly not really worried about the power now days, I have a 02 Stage2 WRX that I drive now and selling. I drive a whole lot so basically I'm wanting something clean with a little power. Maybe 4 years down the road out of warranty I'll start building the engine up for a turbo or I'll just do a swap.

So, what you all think. Heres what I'd like..

06 Honda EX Rallye Red w/ Black Interior or
06 Flint Mica tC
06 RSX (not sure on which color yet)

Its a toss up, with the top one in first.

Yes, that should be understood. I'm giving it up and going to something with much better gas mileage and non-FI.

how bout this....you're not gonna get too crazy gas mileage in a RSX Type S 23/29mpg... that you wouldn't be able to get with a SRT4 either. SRT4, 22/31...and it has LSD!! 240WHP...260WTQ....

Thats nice and all, but I can't get over the fact its a Neon. Also I said nothing about a RSX Type S. I said I would maybe consider a RSX, but not a Type S. Also, all the cars I listed are N/A. Altho the tC doesn't get GREAT gas mileage its still affordable for a new car. Its not really all about the performance anymore. I want something more suited for my current needs and new project for me to put a little money into. Having over 250 HP isn't a need anymore because my e-peen is already big enough. Thanks for your input tho, thats why I posted and wanted opinions.

No Si. There should be a MSRP price out soon on them but I am thinking they will be 21k. I'm just looking for something for about under 20k out the door. The Civic EX right now is my first choice.

okay then....

then why not buy the best car you can buy of all time. One of the #1 selling car in america. The Toyota Camry!

Right now, a 2006 Camry LE can be had for $18-19G OTD!!! Yup, they are that cheap and affordable. Great warranty, and reliability, low maintance, good ride, etc.

the civic will be 19G too but won't be as comfortable and built-wise as a Camry. the tC also has minor problems you need to check out before oyu buy one. seems like huge rattling issues!

What the frack are you asking for here? If you want opinions you are getting them and then shouting them all down! Its your money go buy a car or ask specific questions.

I'm not shutting them down, some people just don't have common sense. I list 3 N/A cars and I get reponses like "BUY A SRT-4". I thought maybe this thread could have a good conversation about the few cars I listed but obviously not.

I'm sure the RSX-S would get pretty descent gas mileage since its a 6 spd. I think overall I'm going to just get the Civic EX. Its coming in Rallye Red with Black Interior is what I wanted in the Si. It'll be nice to drive a new stock car again

Um....no. Call up Longo Toyota in Southern California. They got Camry LE's lined up for sale at 18G OTD. Trust me, they are that cheap. Not the V6 version though.

the OP lives in kentucky. the LE version dosent have many amenities. if he was to get the tC he would get a lot more at the same price. they both have the same engine. my sister has the tC and i like it a lot. i also have the 06 rsx type-s.

out of the civic, rsx, and tC, i would take the tC. the haggle free pricing makes it soo much easier to shop for a car. go into a dealership and order your car and when it comes, flip over the money and they give u the car. easy as that.

the tC has more sound deadening than any toyota branded car. lexus's obviously have more sound deadening because you are paying a lot more.

p.s. dont forget that the red's oxidizes more than other colors, so it will fade after a couple years.

Have you heard anything about the tC's paint being cheap? The 06 RSX-S must be nice, I like the new headlights. Where can I find some more information about red fading after a few years?

check out appearance and cosmetics. any painter knows that red oxidizes faster than other colors. as far as paint being cheap, it looks fine on my sisters car.
