Default What's a decent FPR (fuel pressure regulator)?

Hi
i just had a bit of head work done (jun2 cams, portflow inners, itr outters, skunk2 manifold, port and polish...) and stuff and i was told i'm going to need an FPR. I was wondering should i just get the B&M for like 60 bucks, or shell out a bit more money for the AEM? Any help would be appreciated thanx.

I would go for the AEM FPR because its a more complete component.

If i'm correct, the b&m you have to chop off some part of the stock regulator during installation. AEM you just hook up... pretty easy. Don't forget a gauge too.

yeah b&m you have to modify your old one ... aem is nice but ppl complain that under high psi the diaphram bursts. aeromotive is nice but its not a direct bolt-on. i would go with aem however.

i've got it for 160 or so....but i know people find a bit cheaper now.....close to 140. so i can do it for that unless u find it cheaper, i'll probably match it. where u at? i'm in san franciso, ca.

let me know wut u think....or can afford. haha...just remember it's still new. i can get a pic if u really want to see it.

you can buy the b&m fpr and the guage for cheaper than you can get the aem fpr and its not like you'll be taking the cheap way out either cause ive heard nothing but good things about the b&m unit. (if you dont mind spending a little time modifying your stock unit)!!

I've had no problems with my B&M. The installation was very simple, you just need to take a hack saw to the top of you stock regulator (about 1/4 inch from the top). I got that and the guage for about 90 bucks.

I heard from a local shop that the B&M will have problem in extreme cold temperature like -30 or something. I know it won't be a problem for most of you, but it just something to look out for.
