while building an LS motor for a friend i noticed something that really halted my progress. while adjusting the valves i couldn't get even a .003" shim to fit under a couple of them. others seemed too loose. cam followers. are they ALL the same?

the guy brought everything to me thrown into a box, so as far as which is intake and which is exhaust i have no clue. I thought they were all from the same mold and machined the same.

Does it look like i'll be wasting a lot of time trying to match them up with the right valve?

 

you talking abour the rockers right...if so i believe they are all the same? i know n00bish...sry im working on almost no sleep.

i dont think there are many differences between the ls heads internally
