Default Is 300whp possible with the SOHC greddy kit? YES ! Proof inside *servion tuned*

here is a link to my old dyno:
266 whp 245 tq
setup is in this link too.
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1410697

we finally got back to the dyno yesterday to max out the greddy kit.
our goal was to prove everyone wrong that says that 300 hp on a greddy kit isnt possible.
we turned the boost up to ~20psi (falling off to ~17ish by redline)
this is as high as we could get the turbo to spool (we even pulled the vaccum line off the wastegate, but only gained ~ 1psi.

we played with the spark plug gap, and tried removing the air filter.
we had some missing up top with the spark plug gap @ 27, so we tightened it to 22, when we did this we lost 10 whp.
then by openeing the gap up to 25 we gained power

we also pulled the air filter of to see what gains could be seen.
we actually lost 10 whp by doin that
so we kept the filter on

so with that all learned
here are the results:

305 whp / 278 tq
plug gap was @ 25
boost at 20psi guage, ~16ish psi absolute
ecutout open

we wanted to see the difference the ecutout would make.
i only lost 10 whp, but full boost is seen ~ 500 rpms early so the 'area under the curve' is alot better
here is the difference:

here is the difference between my old dyno and my new dyno:

the car is netuned by servion.
its hella fun and we accomplished our 300+ whp goal on a greddy kit.

thanks to everyone that helped me build / tune this car.
here is a pic of the car

is this a Mitsu/volvo Td04 19T turbo?
Try porting the exhausthousing with a dremel that will help stabilizing the boost on high rpm's..

it is the 'greddy' 19t.
it is basically a t25 turbine with a 19t comp side.

im not worried about porting the turbine side, i have a t3t4e being put on the car tomorrow

yeah, but more importantly is the turbo spools earlier, so there is more ' room under the curve'

the Ecutout didnt make huge power up top cuz your turbos already maxed out. but more so it actually might read a diffrent portion of the map. which may hve been the casue for the power to drop. non the less excelltn numbers that **** should be fun as hell to drive on the street !

that is a good point, i never thought about that.

we tuned for max power witht e ecutout open and i will just deal with the richer a/f and longer spool when its closed

i never really got to drive it on the street while at the 305 hp level only drove it home from the dyno.
on the way home i raced some sort of porshe.
form ~70 - 130 + (my needle was ~1in past the 130mph line)
it was deff fun!

the greddy turbo is off and the t3t4e is being put on as we speak (i am actaully in here doin a few searches and decided to check the thread)
ill post pics of the size difference of the 2 turbos later

thanks for everyones comments.

keep them coming.

Your power is falling up top.

With the LS heads, the head is very restrictive and doesn't move enough air, thus the drop in power in the upper RPMs.

If the z6 head is anything like the LS, then headwork will substantially improve your top end power.

I just noticed your dramatic drop in torque and the horsepower was dropping off as well.

Maybe it's just me not knowing anything.

the power is dropping off because the greddy turbo cant hold 20 psi until red line.
there has been people make way more power then me on a stock head

but maybe i dont know anything
