Ok guys.

I've been trying to find replacement door lock cylinders for my girlfriend's '86 Honda Accord LXi. AutoZone and Kragen both special ordered the lock cylinders but when I tried to put them in the door handle assembly, NEITHER of the sets fit. The barrels of the cylinders I ordered were just too large.

The old lock cylinders look sort of stripped down and fit perfectly into the door handle assembly.

The online parts places have been reccomending the same parts that don't fit that Kragen and AutoZone ordered for me.

Am I nuts? Can anyone help me out with this? Can anyone reccomend an online parts place that might have the CORRECT door lock cylinders? Is there another car that uses those kinds of door locks?

Any help would be muchly appreciated.

 

I would suggest stripping a wrecked accord of its cylinders and having keys made

$36.00 from Honda. Either that or you take your chances on a boneyard unit, and then screw around trying to get a key cut
