D16A1 info?? (into '88 Civic HB 4spd)
I was just wondering if anyone has any information on this engine? All I know is it's out of a 1st gen Integra. Would installation into an '88 Civic HB (4spd. model) be problematic?
I've done quite a few searches and information is apparently limmited. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

well its the same motor as the ZC the d16a1 wont bolt up. you best off going with the ZC motor. another thing youll have to worry about is the wiring, but theres tons of info out there you just have to look.
Well you see, i've been stuck with a perfectly good running D16A1 and already had an '88 Civic, I was just wondering if this swap is possible without having to buy another motor?
Thanks for the reply.
P.S. I went to Hybrid.honda-perf.org but even they had very little-to-no info on it, except for engine specs.

They Hybrid Board is a very informative site
if you look up info for the ZC you will see that they mention the D16a1 and the reasons it will not work.
sorry to bust your bubble but its better than getting into it and finding out that its not worth it
