Default Flat black lips...

I've been seeing more cars with the lip kits that are painted to match the same tone black as the factory sideskirts/side moldings, and I think it looks badass. I was just wondering what type of paint was used to achieve that same tone. Any help from people who have this would be greatly appreciated.

Here is an example of what I am talking about... (sorry to whoever's car this is, please let me know if you want me to remove it)

Thanks man! And yes, I remember reading about the hatch above, and I couldn't believe it. That car was beautiful.

Does krylon flat black match up well with the sideskirts? It's hard to tell by the picture, but it looks pretty damn close. Btw, sick car!

you can pick up "trim paint" at pep boys. ive used it before on a whole front bumper. its the closest thing to the stock urathane color. flat black krylon is way too dry looking imo

Trim paint, I'll check that out. Do you know the brand you used off hand?

thats what i used to paint my boys car. painted the side skirts the front and back lips, moldings, and mirrors. reason why was that the old owner did a shitty *** job tryin to color match that ****.

Thats going a little too far IMO. Looks cool, but kinda ugly at the same time.

I used Krylon SATIN black, NOT flat.

It matches almost perfectly!

I used something similar to that. It's a paint to use on flexible items, such as bumpers, lips, etc. It will allow the piece your painting to flex without the paint cracking. Maybe it was called "Bumper Coating" by Duplicolor? Can't remember off the top of my head, but it worked and looks great.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Monkeypuzzle, do you have any pics of the satin black? I used krylon satin black on a set of rims before and it turned out great! I'm curious to see it on a lip...

Black primer...not a bad idea. It looks like it matched up almost perfectly.

Any more suggestions? I think I'm going to try the krylon satin black.
