steering wheel makes clinking sound when rotating left
first of all, the problem started after my car was broken into. I think they broke the steering lock or something, but it still locks now. I had to get a new igniting with new key cuz the totally f’d them up.
The clink only happens when I turn left. Sometimes it’s louder, sometimes it’s very quite. But it’s coming from the steering wheel, not anything else like axles or shocks. Car turns fine and everything. When I test them with the car in idle, it makes a 2-3 times per rotation.. usually a single clink. Would taking off the steering wheel and aligning it fix this?

I know when my wheel locked one time, my wheel is kinda messed up, its just always been this way, it made this knocking noise.
Behind the wheel it self, there should be some sort of metal ring, its not complete all the way around, meaning there is a spot where it doesn't touch. Hope this makes sence.
Try adjusting that by just turning it, thats what fixed it on mine. Also, do you think your steering wheel cover on the top, could just be touching it?
I would look at these things.
But if you pulled the wheel off, not sure if you have SRS airbag, if you do disconnect the neg battery cable, and wait 5 mins, then pull the wheel. Put it back on and torque it to spec, that should fix if what I first said does not.
