Default Electrical problem

Ok, I've got a 1990 Honda Civic DX 4 Door 1.5L NO modifications what so ever.

All in the area where my heater/ac panel, stereo, cigarette lighter area is, has stopped working. However it works if I have the key in the auxiliary position. It started out as me having my radio on (re-wired to make sure its not grounding out or anything like that) and when I go to switch on the heat, everything in that panel would shut off (ac/heater, stereo, cigarette lighter). It used to come back on after awhile of driving but hasn't come back on since (unless the key is in auxiliary). Any help anyone can provide me with will be greatly appreciated. Also, if you have any questions for me, PLEASE ask me. Thanks in advance everyone.

wow.. you've got me pretty stumped there.. is it blowing a fuse or anything when it goes out all the time? or does it just go out.. and then it will come back on eventually?
have you checked through the fuses yet? because i believe the stereo and cigarette lighter and all that fun stuff are all on the same fuse..
also, is your stereo aftermarket? or is it an original honda tape deck?

Nope, it just goes out on its own and comes back on whenever it wants to

check all the plugs and wiring, sounds like either a loose ground or just one of the contacts is shitty

Sure sounds like a loose ground to me.
I dont have access to my manual right now,but I do believe the main ground is on the drivers kick panel(by the drivers ankle behind the plastic cover).
It may have loosened or rust/and or corrosion is preventing a good solid ground.
What I think is happening is when you run your accy's one goes out because the circuits are backfeeding looking for a ground.Electrical components do crazy stuff when the grounds are poor.
Hope that gives you an option to look at.
