Can an Ls/Vtec drop into an 01 civic ??? (I know you are going to say do a K20 but I have a fully built engine already)


If so where can I find mounts for it

There are no B series mounts.

 

Are D series parts interchagable (like can i take a D16 turbo mani and but it on a D17)

 

They make D17 manifolds.
And the answer is no.

 

wasnt their a member here or at 7gc.com that had an b-series into his em2? i believe he had to custom mount just about everything since he was a mechanic? and had the equipment/time to custom fab it.

 

It was mirage, he did it for 1.5L Salt Flats racing. It was 100% custom and its not a street car.

 

some people on 7thgen are swapping d16y8 intake manifold and swapping it making good numbers with a turbo. But with the amount of money u spend on a turbo you could do a k20a2 and be at or above the hp gain with just a turbo. To make insane numbers on d17a2 you need alot of work and parts. Type s motors can handle more boost and nitrous than a d17. I heard with the type s you could run a 75 shot safe with no upgrades(injectors, ecu) Thats why come spring I decided to do the swap instead of turbo. I could always do a turbo later but think Im going to try all motor first.
