Welcome!

I havent had any problem with my ITR. Runs just like the day I bought it. . . then again it just turned 17K.

It's a Honda, so your mechanical problems should be minimal.

Why? it's yellow or black and has a shopping cart wing. It probably looks just like the one in my garage.

If you think so. Anybody can find a pict of an ITR and it is a public forum so he really doesn't need to have an ITR to lurk or post.

No offense intended to you or KakarotITR. I just see sooooo many pics it getting a bit old and seems a to be a bit of wasted resources.

I have not been a fan of the studs cause a lot of the holes go all the way through the block. They always seem to come loose even with thread lock. As far as the oil pan gasket is concerned, make sure you use a new OEM gasket. While you have the pan off make sure it is not dented at all. If it is this is the best chance to pound it out so you don't starve the engine of oil to the pickup. Follow the helms on torquing the nuts and bolts. If you have a not so good torque wrench (i.e. it torques a little strong), then follow the pattern in the helms, and tighten in 2-3 steps in order, on the last step tighten with a 3/8's drive wrench to a "soft" hand tight. Meaning don't use very much force at all, tighten until it starts becoming the slightest bit tight and watch to make sure the gasket is not squishing out the side! If it does then it will leak! The OEM gasket has metal rings in it to keep you from flatening it so easy, but if you tighten too much it will happen!

Check your plugs, and make sure they are the OEM NGK's and in good shape. Other than that you are on the right track! Congrats!

Let's see some pics!

Welcome!

http://www.ITRCA.com might help you find a little info on the R too.

Enjoy.

Make sure you come to the Expo 6 event next year! (details are not released yet).

Yes. If they haven't seen an autocross or track event they will spontaneously combust.

Here are some pics.

Since then I removed that stripe graphic, It wasn't really doin it for me.

About the whole stealing thing, yeah some kids in a 91 civic drove by that day. I had the teggy and my camaro parked in th grass beside the road there, cause I was cleaning out the garage and one of them took a camera phone pic then they drove off. They were either admiring it of doing recon.

Hopefully these pics come out cause I haven't done this in a while. If not there on cardomain if you really care to see them.

By the way the wings a towel rack, and every other day I park it at the edge of this wall at the end of my drive way and use it to do chin ups. (I'm really light weight.)

O yeah i did do the timing belt this weekend, but thats it I had some trouble get the timing exact. I didn't bend any valves though thank God. For some reason the timing mark on the crank pulley doesn't match up exactly to the mark thats on the the crank cog for the timing belt.
