Default Noob to suspension... help me out.

So i'm looking into a nice coilover setup and had a few questions you guys can hopefully awnser... i attempted to search all my questions in every way i could before bringing them here but just couldnt find anything, so hopefully you guys can help me out a little. I've been looking into the Tanabe sustec pro s-s type II coils... i found that the stock rates were 6kg/mm front and 4kg/mm rear stock, that seems low while others offer anywhere from 12 to 8 k stock. I'm new to this whole thing and need some assistence on understanding what i'm looking at exactly when i see these numbers. This is a daily driven car that i take to the local 1/4 mile track(drag) every now and then, so what would be best for me? any info will help.. thank in advance.

I can only add a little info. I don't drag race, so I don't know what kind of rates you'll want for that. I'm running 400/400 GC springs on my DC2, with is something like 7k I believe. Its very stiff for the street, but tolerable. 6k/4k doesn't sound like it would ride that bad around town though.

yea, i did a little more research on the rates and they seem like they'll do great for what i want... not to much stiffer than the oe rates but thanks a lot for the reply.
