2 DOOR??? or 4 DOOR??
Hey everyone i still havent gotten my teg yet because im shopping around for the BEST offer i can find, i have my mind set on a 97 gsr 2 door but the thought of 4 door has now entered my mind, i like 97's because i love the front head lights and i like the stock wheels so i wouldnt mind keeping them for a while, i was also thinking of a JDM front end conversion on a 4 door 97 gsr, i think that would be sick because i have never see one of those on the road yet, please lemme know of what i should do and what are the benefits of a 4 door. thanks everyone!
There's a red 4-dr with a JDM front end in vancouver, BC, and it's pretty sweet. Is there any real reason you want 4 doors? I would definitely say 2 dr unless you need to haul more than 2 passengers often, and even then, you'll never sit in the back...so who cares!
do you want the mesh style Rims that came on the 97 GSRs...or do you want the blade style rims that came on the 98+ GSRs...because the models are the same from 94-97, then it changes in 98-01...i personally like the 98+ front bumpers better but i have a 94, i got the 94-95 5-spoke star GSR rims for my car...
i like the way 4 doors look, so thats why i got one...plus it might even be cheaper for insurance with those extra 2 doors...the difference in weight is only 90-100 pounds...so thats not much difference in performance

my DB8 four door GSR.... It has been a strong contender in autox also, great track car too.
I haul friends and gear to dj gigs and parties a lot so I really used all the space and also get cheaper insurance
, the car is pretty stealthy too, not a lot of people around here even know they made 4 door GSR's so its a different kinda rise than most have, thats cool with me too
There are just a few parts that do not share both 2 door and 4 door chassis, so have no fear with the aftermarket parts available. In fact there are a great selection of the one most common part that people get that isn't interchangeable.. the catback.. I got an Apexi N1 and it screams!
I personally think the 4 doors don't look that good. The Trunk is sliced in half and cuts right thru the Taillights, and the Car looks more boxy.
The 2 doors look alot more smooth and sportier. But the backseats are useless. Might as well bea 2 seater. It sucks when 4 people have to fit into my car. Its small as hell inside. Thats when the 4 door comes into play. Its up to you`

i just had a 2dr before i got my four door. i really like the four door, it seems better for reasons i do not know.
The one complaint i do complain is that with the four doors, there is no upper window track/frame. it is much noisier than my coupe was. i am hoping i can get new weather seals (if not to expansive) to quiet it down.

i got the 4 door because in college not many ppl got cars, and i can give rides. also its a sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeper. no one on the 405 gives a fourdoor integra respect.
personally i have a 2 door and i like it alot (enuff to keep it hehe).. but i like the four door also because its very stealth.. a lot of people dont even kno it came in GSR trim... however i would not get one because it tends that whoever has the 4 door always has to give poeple rides.. me and my friends all have cars..but when we roll somewhere the guy w/ the 4 door always ends up driving....
i think i like the sportier look of the rear hatch better too.. but the 4 door is nice..

I had some girls tell me they liked some other guy's car better because it was a 4-door (we both had tegs). But...they were car hopping *****, so what would they know?
The moral of the story is, a girl may try to bring other car hopping ***** along because it's a 4-door, but she'd leave her ****-blocking friends home if they don't want to squeeze in the back.

I have a four door 94 ls. True the four door is only like 80 to 90lbs heavier, and I personally think that it looks better than the two door. I don't know how big a difference there is in insurance, but I can tell you from personal experience that cops don't notice the four doors as much as a two door. So I guess in that respect it would be cheaper on insurance
I know that I am just as fast as a two door version of myself. I guess it all comes down to what you want. what ever you can get a good deal on........

I like the 2 door hatchback's looks better...especially on G3 integra's. I think Acura has done the right thing with the RSX in it being offered only in 2 door, if you want a 4 door then the Honda accord should be looked at. Side point - What's the main competition in Integra's class? The Toyota Celica right...is there a 4 door Celica?
The Integra is supposed to be a sports coupe...which by definition implies a 2 door vehicle.
The 4 doors are nice for easy entry into and out of the vehicle, that's about it. With the 2 door hatchback you can fold down the seats and carry 8 foot pieces of lumber entirely inside the vehicle - try that with a 4 door. I would only get the 4 door if you are just concerned about getting from point A to point B with four people most of the time and you don't plan on buying anything that won't fit in the trunk - like a lawnmower, TV, Computer, 8 bags of concrete, 8 foot long pieces of lumber... If you want the most cargo and butt haulling capability in an Integra, the 2 door hatchback is the only way to go. After all there are no 4 door Type R Integra's... I'd go with a 4 door if you are just in the market for reliable transportation that seats 4 comfortably and are not serious about performance. If you are performance orientated - as in organized racing - the 2 door hatchback is what you want.
If I had a 4 door GS it probably would have been impossible to pack everything that I packed in my 2 Door Hatchback went I went to ASU for 2 semesters....the car was full - trunk, back seat and passenger seat.

4 doors handle better on the street and at high speeds (longer wheelbase) - the 2drs are sort of twitchy...drive em both and see what i mean.
4 doors are sleepers, if you like that.
2 doors look short and stubby until you lower em'...which you'll do anyway
get whatever you like - and the difference is 90lbs by the way

I definitely like the 4 dr better, 2 drs are so common, they just look like civics to me. But a 4 door looks like a real sporty sedan, bigger and more luxurious, not just a small little rice rocket. Get a 4dr and take off the wing, sleeper central. I think the stereo install is cleaner as well, you can run 6x9's, and put the back seat down to really bump your subs. Also you can dynomat the trunk better than a hatch. And you can also lock the trunk and use the valet key (not sure if the 2 doors have a similar feature) to stash your valuables and amps away from window poachers.
Only reason I would get a 2 dr is for racing, I would gut that bitch and race the hell out it. Then again, if I was serious about racing, I would get a civic hatch w/ a B16/18 transplant. If you want your daily driver to be practicle, useful, and cheap (insurance) get a 4dr.

For the record, there ARE in fact 4door ITRs, they are just not sold here. And also, I don't see why a hatchback would be able to carry lumber in a way that a sedan can't. I fold down my rear seat and do it all the time.
