Default Some Progress Shots....almost there.....

Turbo mounted (GT25-40). Ceramic coating on the down pipe, manifold, and wastegate dump tube. Should be good for 15 to 18 lbs, maybe 400hp with a nice torque curve and little noticeable lag.

Copper locking nuts galore. Hopefully turbo componants will no longer try to free themselves from my car. Stripped the gay red paint off the cover with aircraft stripper.

Fluidamper thanks to Arturbo. That and my ballanced bottom end should keep the oil pump gears in one piece.

Just need to fab up my oil return line, and I'll be ready to go. Installing the engine on friday. If my IM doesn't show up by then I'll just put the stock one on. Should have it running by next weekend if all goes well.

Great to see you one step closer!

What IM are you going to throw on there?

Me thinks you need a new filter for your fresh motor...

Step by step. What IM are you going to be running? Can't wait to see a dyno graph on this one.

A little color here or there might have been nice though.

This will make it easier to spot any problems.

Looks great man. Can't wait for you to get it up and running again. I know you're dying to drive it and I'm sure your neighbors and house guests will be happy for it to be done as well.

Been waiting 6 weeks for an AEBS unit from Cali. Methinks it's been lost in the mail.

No. I was told that a GSR belt would fit, but that didn't work either. I just went and got a belt one inch longer and that worked.

nice build up
just wondering but why such a small turbo, is it for the spool up? i would think that the max hp out of that turbo would be some what low and boosting it higher would just turn it into a hot air pump. i would think a gt2860- disco potato would be a good choice for higher numbers and quick spool up.
anyhow, nice wastegate, tial sport!
i'm using the 44mm wastegate with vbands on my setup.
what blowoff valve are you running and what are you doing for fuel management?
keep up the good work and i'm eager to hear how it runs and see the dyno graphs

This turbo should be efficient up to 400hp, with awesome spool. I'm not a big drag race guy so I'm not that concerned with making huge #'s. My BOV is a tial 50mm. For tuning I'm using 35lb injectors, a 1.7 to 1 rising rate fpr, walbro pump, GM 3bar, and uberdata.

Lookin' awesome D. Loving the ceramic and copper protection. Looks hot and serves a purpose too The red valve cover is so NOT gay. lol.

Are you gonna take her out after the motor install? I'd love to be around for that.

nice, nice! you're a tial sport fan too!
definately sounds like you put a lot of thought into your setup. are you using a bar plate style intercooler air to air? or is it a brazed tube type? is this the same setup you were using before your engine blew? if not, how much of the system have you changed?

Looks awesome. Quick question, what is the advantage of the copper hardware vs. the OEM header bolts?

The OEM header bolts seemed to be fine, but the hardware that was used to fasten the turbo componants kept getting loose. My understanding is that the copper expands less that the steel stud when it gets hot, so it stays tight. Just to be safe I studded and copper nutted everyting from the head to the dp exhaust connection.

What I've changed:
Ross forged 9-1 pistons
Eagle rods
Balanced/Blueprinted bottom end with OEM bearings
Hondata IM gasket
Action 2md clutch
AEBS IM (hopefully)
Fluidamper crank pully
Morroso RR oil pan
Bored out TB (70mm>65mm)
GM 3bar
FSE Fuel pressure regulator
New water pump
New timing belt
New tensioner

Prob a couple misc things I've forgot.

For sure. lol Once again it'll be ready for the rain and snow. Nothing like having to wait 4 months to do tuning AAARRRRRG!

I'm very interested to see your plots with this setup.....

Why not go with a JG IM?

For turbo, I can't think of a reason not to.....

And why the rising rate fpr?
