i have 17" wheels, theyre 7.5" wide with a 38 offset, i would have rathered a 43+ offset but the rim i wanted didnt come in that offset, i had the archs rolled (inner lip) so as to avoid the wheels/tyres scrubbing, the wheels sit out flush with the bodywork and with the archs rolled i dont get rubbing. If you get a 7" rim they may sit in a little further. heres a view of my rims from the front looking along the car.

i have mugen sports shocks with apex 35mm lowering springs, i got mugen springs with the shocks but they only lowered the car about 0.5" so i got the apex springs instead, looks way better altough the handling with the mugen springs was way better!

just curious... was your original mugen setup the sport lowdown? thinking of getting this suspension and looking for more feedback on this particular product. thanks.

I had 35 offset on my wife's teg and it didn't rub. Granted it was only lowered an inch all around with Eibach springs.

yes, it was the lowdown set up but the springs only lower the car 0.5-0.75inch and i wanted it lower so i went for the35mm springs instead, if your not looking for tire touching low then the mugen lowdown setup is fantastic, i had the mugen springs in for about 3 weeks and the handling was perfect, firm but not harsh, its just a pity they didnt have a lower spring available. i sold the springs to a friend of mine and he stuck them in his EK civic Vti (b16A) with his stock shocks and his car now handles brilliantly. i would recommend them to anyone except for the price, the springs alone cost approx $350 (i think) and the integrated sports dampers were $850 for 4
