okay a 93 civic hatch is worth about $2400 in most of the country, especially with that kind of mileage (average)

i'd tell him to **** off, **** your car on ebay should go for $6000

you're trying to get ripped off man, not just take a loss, but get fucked

ebay your car, and tell him you'll give him $2500 MAX.

you'll have enough money to swap in a dual cam from the start.

yea your right i would be screwing myself......but my eclipse has 125000 miles on it..... and i bet an si with 166 thousand would last longer than an eclipse with 125000........ and i would be alot happier.....you should see this hatch man its just been repainted due to a little fading....black with a slight red and god sparkle kinda deal.....spotless interior everytihng original and perfect...has that trunk cover the original tape deck.....original owners manual...the motor has just been detailed by a professional(the one selling it)......the motor looks seriously brand new besies the fact that it doesnt look like a newer style motor....good clutcch in it......and the guy offered me a job doing simple mechanic work....brakes suspension and he wants me to put a new clutch in a 92 civic hatch that some lady has....do you think i can do that with minimal knowledge.....im not dumb or anything....although i do seperate my thoughts with periods instead of the proper punctuation

you could sell it and buy the hatch then use the extra money to do a engine swap or something or if you dont think you will get the money in time take out a loan then pay it off once you sell your car.

although im not too fond of eclipses, trading one with 125k for a civic with 166k just isnt worth it.

Please show me ONE 93 Si in ANY kind of quasi-decent condition for $2400. Seriously....I'd love to see you find one.

pathetic i know...."quasi-decent" what does that quasi word mean....but anyway i know you from speed options...i like your hatch....seeing your hatch you will probably like this si.....by the way while i wait for a swap do you guys think this engine has any potential at all to be "quick" not fast just quick....i know that might mean plenty of different speeds to different people...i just mean fast enough to not be worried about most of the cars on the street that arent "suped up" if i may

I wouldn't dump a damn dime into that motor if I were you. Thats just my personal opinion....if you know me from SO then you know that I don't beleive in half assing anything.

Seriously man...2300 for a 93 Si in decent shape is a smoking deal.

Quasi means "sort of" for lack of a better explanation.

i cant seem to find any parts for this because i dont know the name of the si engine....... i dont know what series or anything....could you fill me in please...ex(b16a2) i was thinking maybe just open this motor up a little bit....only one problem with that. i dont want a big dumb loud exhaust that would make me look and basicly be a ricer.....i know that i wouldnt be,but i dont wanna be one of those kids........nothing under the hood...loud *** exhaust....you know what i mean.
I dont mean that i wanna do things half *** i just thought that i could give it a little more power, even if it just makes it run a little smoother...you know what i mean?

That's an pretty good deal. Around here an si hatch will go upward of 4k.
My friend got one 6 months ago for 3k and it was in horrible shape. That for a 92 also.

I'd take the hatch over an eclipse anyday. Good choice in trading.

Stupid ht. Everytime i come back here it makes me miss my hatch even more.

i paid 1700 for a 4 dr lx with 200k miles on it (110k on engine) and that was cheap compared to some other prices going around.

Indeed. I remember back when i got my Si (in 2000), I was going to pay something around $2500 or $3000 for a nice Si...and no more. However, once I finally came upon this *mint* condition 94 Si, everything changed. I ended up paying right at $4000, because it was what I wanted. The way I see it, if you're determined to get something, just get it - Atleast I'll respect you for following through and doing what YOU think is right.

That is just plain stupid. If people quit paying so damn much for them the prices would drop. Why in gods name would you pay 4k for an 11 year old econobox? It only cost 11 or 12 brand new. It's not like it's even quick, handles all that well, or has good brakes.
