Autolock!
Alright. I have a Viper 791xv with pager (killswitch etc)and The Club. Im debating to get autolock, but i have a question. Has anyone gotten thier $hit jacked with it on in a Manual Tranny(on clutch) if so state how did they do it.thx planning to get 1 soon so i can have all 3 security devices.
its still good..remember..layers of security..i'd get it just to get it...deter amatuer and lazy theives..the more the layers..the more the probabilities of keeping your car..who cares if its just an autolock..or the damn old school club..if u can spare the pocket money..just get it..more of a headache for theives
hey, i bought this thing call a "pedal jack" it was $40 shipped to hawaii. It locks both the clutch and brake pedal, and is a lot harder to cut. It'll definitely slow them down for awhile. a search on google should turn it up.

Autolocks are easy as hell to remove. I still use it though just b/c TIME is of the essence.
I use an autolock for the clutch and a pedal/steering wheel lock for the brake. Along with some other ****.

Like others have said, the more layers of security you have is always better than one less. Thieves can get around the Autolock by breaking or picking the lock or even by sawing off the clutch pedal.

i've heard of ppl bending the pedal just to get around the autolock.
maybe that pedal jack will be more effective. especially if it's only 40 bucks, that's better pricing than the autolock

the metal is pretty darn thick. It's pretty heavy too. I'm no metal expert but it would take ahwile to cut through the pedal jack. It's supposed to withstand freezing it and breaking it too. It's a quality piece, the keys are 3 way too.
yeah, i mean, if someone wants your car they'll take it. but I think this design is a little better than the autolock. As long as it slows them down, or even just irritates them is worth it for me.
You should spend your money on a Momo or aftermarket wheel, Quick release, and QR Lock. They are not going anywhere with out a steering wheel, and if they have their own, the lock will prevent them from "slapping" it on. Layering security is the best way to go and It seems like you got it covered. Just thought I would give you another option. Only way to steel your car without a st wheel is to tow it, but atleast they wont be doing that in front of your house
put like this anything can get stolen now a days;i got a viper alarm, autolock, detachable steering wheel, and i am still afraid of getting my ish stolen.i say just do the best you can with what you can get or have.and also i dont go to mall either with my ride it seems to me like every body get there cars stolen there.

I wonder if someone makes something where you can lock your thief inside the car...that would be tight. Of course theyd have to shut the door, but that would be fun to catch a foo., like a bear trap.
my friend has a pro lock has 2 chips gave one to me and keeps one the car wont start if you dont have the chip in and if you didnt know it was pro locked you would never know he hid the prolock in the glove compartment.
and NO matter how much security you have you cant be secure against the TOW truck.

I thought the point of the Autolock PRO was that it used circle keys so they would be "un-pickable." Unless im missing something?

the main reason the autolock fails is due to the weak metal arm of the clutch. (in the junkyard) i was able to kick the clutch pedal and bend it, then using my hands i was able to bend the bitch all the way to the side. it is very weak from left to right.
if you want to secure your car with the autolock, if you add about 2mm of mild steel welded to the sides of the clutcharms. it will make the pedal arm alot stronger when using the autolock.
but most will not go this far... and this will only slow them down a bit.
