I am new with this car and it's a used car when I got it.

The car is a V6 Honda Accord 1995 2.7L. <- i don't know what type of engine it is

Problem:
My car starts fine cold (RPM~=1000+), I can drive it for a upto 10-15 minutes. When car comes to a stop- in idle, the car's RPM drops to ~500-700. Wait a little while, then RPM drops more and car shakes and halt. Engine stops, when try to start again, engine <U>cranks</U>, but doesn't start. Press on gas and crank, RPM goes up but still won't start. Wait 20 minutes, then try to start ignition again, then the car starts, ignition goes and car runs again. This happened a few times and everytime I can restart the car again.

Changed the following, but no help:
- spark plugs, changed all 6
- changed air filter
- changed PCV valve

Please help! Please!

when car dies and wont restart u need to diagnose if it is lack of fuel or spark.........if lack of fuel could be fuel pump, main relay, fuel filter plugged..if lack of spark could be ignitor, coil, ,try to give us more info to help u nail down this problem,,,,could also be a bad electr part of ignit switch

 

I am a very newbie in fixing car, but I really want to learn.

I want to know how you would check for the lack of fuel? and how would you isolate the issue to be fuel pump/ relay/ filter?

The part that is bothering me is the fact that the car would start again after 10-20 minutes of waiting and then one turn of the key it would go again. What could the problem, why doesn't it allow me to restart right away right after it stalls?
