Default coilover install difficulty?

I was pondering picking up a set of Omni full coilovers. I'm currently riding on the original factory suspension and it shows. The car is all over the place on the freeway and it slants to the driver side leaving a 4 finger gap on the passenger side and a 2 finger on the driver side. Now here is my question, is this a simple enough install to do with the car on jackstands or does it have to be raised my higher than that? As far as I can tell its a simple out with the old and assembly and in with the new one. Any other advice I can get back on this would be much appreciated, the search gives results but they seem to be a bit dated.

It is easy man just need jack and jack stands. I would recommend a spring compressor even though you can just let the spring release into a junk tire. (if not doing a full coilover)

If the omni's are full coilovers then its a really really easy install. Out with the old, in with the new. It might just take some time to get the ride height where you want it. I did my ksports in about 2 hours and it was the first time I had taken the rear suspension off. That included a trip to home depot for a 2 nuts to hold the ksport to the LCA.

I would recomend a torque wrench of if you dont have one.

Now I can help you there just an example that I used.

Toad: Honey I need new tires
Mrs Toad: Okay, well what do you need to do
Toad: Well I can get these rims and tires for a great deal and it will be just about as much as new tires
Mrs Toad: Why do we need rims for your car
Toad: Well the rims on there are not great
Mrs Toad: Well if they are a decent price and don't cost more sure
Toad: Okay.

You see how easy that was. So you say it will cost $400 for struts and then springs about $300 I can get these Omni's for $xxxx.xx

There you go...no need for money just glad to help out the fellow man.

I would spray some lubricant on all your suspension nut and bolts about a day prior to swapping out suspension..... that way you dont break bolts....

That depends more on where you live. My civic lived in oregon and ca most of its life and stuck bolts have never been an issue.
