Every manual i've seen says that the hatchback can hold 11.9 gal of fuel.

I've owned my ed6 for 3.5 years and usually i start looking for gas at 1/4 tank. Everytime i refuel my car it takes 6.5-7.0 gallons. Occasionally it will take 8 gallons if i let the needle get closer to "E". Once it took 9 gallons because the pump didn't shut off and it overflowed.

I found an 88 civic owners manual at the junkyard yesterday. Flipped thought it and when i got to the page about gages, i learned that when the needle reads empty there is 4 gallons left in the tank.

I never knew this so i figured i'd share.

*edit* when the needle reads empty there is 4 liters (1.1 gallons) left in the tank

is that just on civics or would it include 89 crx's also??

just FYI gas stations rape you, i went to one this morning when my low fuel light is on on my TL it takes almost 15 gallons at AMPM, i went to valero and it took 13.5.....wtf?

I checked the book again and you're correct. 4 liters=1.1 gallons
