Does 97 b18c1 block fit a 93 LS motor?
I want to swap a new engine. I have a 97 integra gsr. it used to have a b18c1 motor in it. It got stolen and they took the whole motor plus the ECU. I was going to put in a 93 LS motor, I was wondering if the b18c1 block fit that motor. If it fit, I would need a new 97gsr ECU too right?
that depends on what u want to do. at this point, you can, since they took the whole motor & ecu, run an obd2 ls ecu w/ obd2 injectors/dizzy. Or u can convert to obd1. If u plan on boosting sometime soon, i would just convert to obd1 now. (more stand alone options).
so I can just straight put in the 93 LS motor, using the the obd1 ecu from it too? Woiuld I need to know anything else?
I would only need the obd2 if I install the b18c1 block right?

Well, you would need to have matching obd1 injectors and dizzy to go w/the ecu. u might need to convert the wiring harness from obd2 on ur car to obd1 for the ecu.
U can use obd2 on ur ls, but like i said, you would need obd2 injectors and dizzy to match the ecu obd...in other words, whatever obd u have, you need to have matching injectors, dizzy, and ecu.
