Default d16z6 into 92 cx hatchback

im helping a buddy put a d16z6 from a civic ex into his cx hatchback...car didnt have vtec before...if i have the ecu to put in with the swap do we need to wire for vtec...and if so can someone point me in the right direction to a step by step guide...thanks in advance

pretty sure you have to wire it for vtec since the cx wasnt. if you do look for the writeup for mini me that bauley civic did and it shows how to do it

no need to wire vtec its prewired into the 92 civic chassis. Only the 92 chassis came with this

92 civics are pre-wired from the ecu to the shock tower. u still need to run 3 wires for vtec and for the 4-wire o2 sensor. you can either splice your stock harness or get a 92-95 ex/si engine harness and it'll be plug and play!

d16z6...p28 doesn't have knock sensor. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

dude, it says WIRE KNOCK SENSOR, IF APPLICABLE
