I have a Greddy Evo and i was wondering if anyone knows off hand how big the resonator for the Greddy Evo cat-back system is... yes i know i could raise my car up and measure it.. but i was hoping someone on the list would know...

I want to quiet down my exhaust a bit (I live in Southern California) so im a bit paranoid of gettin pulled over.. even though the Greddy is 50 state legal (smog) and has the papers to prove its noise legal.. i'd rather NOT get pulled over.. and have to deal w/ the hassle of going to court and everything..

i was wondering 1) what is the size of the stock resonator for a Greddy Evo catback system for a GSR.. and 2) if i put in a 24" resonator will it queit it down a lot? i dont really want to use silencers in the tip.. i'd rather get a larger resonator.. do you guys think this will help to quiet it down?

I have the same exhaust,i was just thinking off adding a 2nd resonator.

 

adding a 2nd resonator? like right behind the first one where the cat back section is still straight? (b-pipe?) let me know if you do this and how it sounds, how much quieter it is.. the Greddy Evo isnt loud but still.. i live in So Cal.. and i get paranoid everytime i drive by and see a cop... my car has no show mods (cept for rims.. and if u count lowering).. but I'm still scared i'll get pulled over.. so i really want to quiet down my Evo...

how big a 2nd resonator can you fit under there? can i get a shop to add a 2nd resonator behind the original Greddy one and still have the rear flange bolt up and everything or are they going to chop everything and weld it all? this would be kewl cuz it'd be real quiet.. Im also going to paint my rear muffler portion a flat matte black so the mirror/shiny stainless finish is less eye catch to cops... I'm so paranoid of exhaust tickets nowadays since a lot of people are getting them in So Cal..
